Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 a group of local Navy men and women took time out of their day to help Meals on Wheels.
They helped in the kitchen by preparing meals for the companies recipients. The meals that they are helping produce will be for Thanksgiving.
Volunteers that have been helping out were from the Navy Reserve Center on Paul Road.
“It’s wonderful, it’s great for them,” said Julie Cunningham, manager for Meals on Wheels. “It’s great for us to have the additional volunteers. To have some new volunteers coming in. We are always in need of groups like this to come in and help out with holiday meals and our special projects that we have.”
